As the New Year 2019 is unveiled; MKCB has gone another step forward by launching an independent and confidential program of reporting all such unethical practices within the Bank. Speaking at the launching event today (2nd January 2019); MKCB’s Managing Director George Shumbusho said that Whistle Blowing agenda is an Initiative that will enable MKCB employees and other stakeholders to raise their voices against acts that are against ethics at work place. Whistle blow agenda is being managed by a third-party vendor KPMG through three different channels (toll-free telephone, email and web portal) which guarantees anonymity for the person who raises the voice. All the three channels will invite users to communicate in either English or Kiswahili.

The MD emphasized that it is important for the bank to comply with that value whenever or while serving customers; staff; vendors and even general public at large.
