The Board of Directors of Mkombozi Commercial Bank PLC is pleased to announce the appointment of Mr. Gaspar Casmir Njuu as the new Chairman of the Board of Directors, effective 27 th January 2022 replacing Prof. Marcellina Mvula Chijoriga following ending of her term of eight years of serving the Board.

Mr, Njuu is a career banker (retired), currently practicing as an independent Consultant in matters of Banking, Finance and Investment.

He possesses over 35 years Commercial and Investment Banking experience. He is a resource person (a part time Lecturer) in one of thehigher learning Institution in Tanzania.

Mr. Njuu possess wealth experience in structuring unique Corporate Finance transactions for Private and Public sectors (Government). He has been involved in the process of establishing banks, setting up of Corporate Banking Units, developing credit policies and procedures.

Also, instrumental in developing business strategies, policies and procedures for banks, recruiting, training bank officers, pricing, marketing bank products, managing client relationships, recovery of non-performing loans and recently leading a voluntary Mergers & Acquisition
transaction of a commercial bank. He is strong in leadership, handling negotiations and good governance especially in matters of financial discipline and general bank management.
In his career Mr Njuu has worked for the National Bank of Commence, Standard Chartered Bank Tanzania Ltd, Citibank Tanzania Ltd, and UBLBank (Tanzania) Ltd. Has served various board of directors including Citibank Tanzania Ltd for 10 years (retired in Dec 2015), UBL Bank (Tanzania) Ltd (2 years) and several medium sized companies.

He holds an Advanced Diploma in Banking, Post Graduate Diploma in Financial Management both from Institute of Finance Management
(IFM), Dar es Salaam and MBA International Business from Indian Institute of Foreign Trade, India in collaboration with IFM, Dar es Salaam, Tanzania.

The Board of Director looks forward in harnessing Mr. Njuu’s wealthy leadership experience, banking knowledge and skills in order to excel the banks performance targets in line with its laid down strategies for the
coming years.
